      Made of 60% polished Yamasake Yongo, an extremely rare kind of rice suitable for brewing sake, grown in Yamagata prefecture.
      The water used to ferment the sake is abundant in minerals and high water hardness of 127mg/liter.
      A fruity scent and fresh aftertaste can be enjoyed since the sake is bottled while freshly made.
      It has deep aroma and the flavor grows in the mouth until it reaches the peak, leaving an exquisite aftertaste.
      Yamasake Yongo was developed at an agricultural school in Yamagata prefecture. It is made of a mix of the Yamadanishiki and Kinmonnishiki, which are perfectly suited for sake production.
      In fact, there are only several dozen sake breweries that use this type of rice across Japan.
      This rice with its aromatic flavor has an excellent chemistry with Mikadomatsu’s sake brewery.

      Resting the undiluted sake for 6 months during the cold season is what produces a ripe fruit like flavor.
      Despite it being one of our most popular sake, it is only sold in limited quantities and during 2 months because it is made with extreme care and matures very slowly.

      The name of this sake originates from the National Sake Competition where the sake was only allowed among the executives/CEOs.
      Today, the sake is enjoyed among all people as a good luck sake for a successful career.
      This Ginjoushu is an elegant masterpiece with a balanced fragrance and flavor.
      Goes along with any kind of dish and can be enjoyed on special occasions as well.

    • Mikadomatsu“Namagin”

      The most popular local sake especially among the restaurants located in Ogawamachi.
      It has a vibrant scent that is fresh yet gentle tasting. It is easy to drink and recommended to those who are beginners of Japanese sake.

    • Mikadomatsu 10 year Sake

      Limited edition.
      10 year aged Ginjoushu.
      A unique high quality rice, “Miyako” rice from Hyogo prefecture and “Asahi” rice from Okayama prefecture is used.
      Easy to drink for an aged sake and can be recommended to those who are beginners of Japanese sake.
      The warehouse is cool throughout the year and the sake matures very slowly.
      As a result, it has a distinct ripe scent and a beautifully deep whisky-like flavor.
      We also recommend to those who are not familiar with aged sake.

JUNMAISHU

    • Mikadomatsu Junmaishu Tesuki Washi Label

      Made with highly selected quality rice and clear natural underground water.
      It has a gracious aftertaste while being able to savor the sweetness of the rice.
      It uses a special Tesuki Washi label made in Ogawamachi, which has been registered as an Intangible World Cultural Heritage.

    • Mikadomatsu Junmaishu“Sai no Sake”

      The ingredients used to make this sake have been carefully selected from Saitama prefecture.
      Uses 70% fermented rice, “Sake Musashi” from Saitama prefecture.
      Made with highly selected quality rice and clear natural underground water.
      It has a beautiful and smooth aftertaste while being able to enjoy the taste of the rice.
      It is slightly more mellow compared to Mikadomatsu’s standard undiluted sake. This sake emphasizes the firm flavor of “Sake Musashi” rice.

    • Mikadomatsu Hiyaoroshi Junmaishu

      Limited edition - Sold from September to December.
      Uses 70% fermented rice, “Sake Musashi” from Saitama prefecture.
      The sake is slowly matured for 6 months and is then bottled.
      It is moderate and mild flavored yet it has a definite scent of rice that is unique to Hiyaoroshi.
      Matches perfectly with seafood, particularly during the autumn season with cuisine such as pacific saury grilled with salt or sashimi.

    • Mikadomatsu Shinmai Shinshu Kuradashi Junmai Namagenshu

      Limited edition - Sold from November.
      Freshly packaged with raw undiluted sake.
      A balance of a refreshing scent and dryness that is easy to drink.
      The sake has been fermented in a particular technique to produce a muscat like scent.

      Each of our Nigori sake is gently and carefully bottled. We ensure nothing spews out from the bottle when stored at room temperature.

    • Mikadomatsu Junmai Nigori Sake

      This sake has been produced through the bikan heating process.
      Binkan is a special sake heating process that eliminates yeast and stops fermenting to maintain the best quality sake.
      It tastes sweeter than other types of sake, but bitter among other types of Nigorisake.
      This Junmai Nigori Sake is luscious and refreshing in taste.

    • MIKADOMATSU Like Unfiltered Junmaisyu

      Limited edition.
      Tastes similar unfiltered sake.
      The yeast inside is still active and the sake is therefore carbonated.
      The sake is frozen to temporarily stop fermentation. Fermentation restarts once defrosted.
      Please refrigerate or freeze to store after purchase.
      To drink, remove the red cap and white cover. Mix it with a ladle before pouring it into a glass.
      This sake is light tasting and extremely easy to drink. Beware of drinking too much at once.

      The sake is made with 60% shaved rice, making it an even more refined tasting Junmaishu.

      17% alcohol. The strong alcohol is in harmony with the soft texture it creates in the mouth. This harmony can only be experienced during this season.

      This is a Shochu mixed with Ginjoshu, resulting in a silky smooth and mild aftertaste.
      An authentic taste of shochu can be enjoyed at a reasonable price.

    • 20% Alcohol. Pikkari Shochu Yuzu (Citron)

      Offers a gentle hint of citron.
      It can be enjoyed as a Yuzu cocktail on the rocks.
      Also we recommend this with hot water or soda.

    • 25% Alcohol Pikkari Shochu Lemon

      Mixed with early harvested lemon made 100% in Japan.
      It has a fresh lemon scent coupled with a dry taste without sweetness.
      Also recommended on the rocks or cold water.
      Please shake the bottle before consuming as it contains lemon pulp.

    • 20% Alcohol Pikkari Shochu Sweet potato

      Authentic Imo Shochu made of 100% Beniazuma (a type of sweet potato) mixed with Ginjoshu.

      Sake contains rich amino acid, which is considered a natural cosmetic ingredient.
      This handmade natural soap bar was made with an aspiration to make women’s skin more beautiful. Japanese sake called Junmai Ginjoushu is used to make this soap.
      It is made from natural ingredients only and does not contain any artificial coloring, scent or minerals.
      The sake ingredients and cherry blossom extract used, hydrates the skin without making the skin tense or dry.
      It is a high quality unique soap bar that has taken a long production process.

      The sake used to produce this skin lotion is Mikadomatsu’s Junmaiginjo Sakuranotoki, which contains rich amino acid.
      The thick lotion penetrates the skin to make it more resilient and silky.
      It contains a rich polyphenol and vitamin extract from the astringent skin of Japanese chestnut fermented with rice malt.
      In addition, it contains an extract of a plant’s root called caragana, also known as Siberian peashrub, fermented with yeast. It tightens up the skin and prevents aging skin.
